Managed Account
Investors want an alternative to traditional assets such as equities and fixed income. An investment in a managed forex account gives sophisticated investors an opportunity to have a truly diversified portfolio and broad global exposure to many different economies. Our forex investment accounts have a very low correlation to all of the major worldwide indexes. This includes stock, bond, and commodity markets, which give our clients greater diversification and reduce their overall portfolio risk.
What is a managed forex account?
A managed forex account is an investment that is traded by our professional investment managers. You will open an account in your name with a specific broker and have full control over the account at all times. You will be the only person who can deposit or withdraw money from the account giving you added security. You will then sign a limited power of attorney giving us permission to trade the funds you have allotted to the managed forex account. This is unlike a hedge fund where the money is given directly to the fund manager who has access to the money. You are in total control with a managed forex account.
What is your trading strategy?
We write in detail about our forex investment strategy. You can also view each trade we make on our forex investment blog.
Fee Structure
In exchange for our management services we asses management and performance fees detailed below:
Management Fee
Each quarter a management fee of one fourth of two percent (2% annually) of your account’s month end net assets will be withdrawn from your account.
Example - At the end of the first quarter your net assets in the account is $100,000. You will be charged a fee of 0.5% (one fourth of two percent) for a total of $500 (0.5% of $100,000).
Performance Fee
At the end of each calender month a fee of 20% will be applied to new net trading profits using a high water mark. A high water mark is established each time a new performance fee is applied. This means no additional performance fee may be applied until the high profit watermark has been surpassed.
Example - The first month your $100,000 account experiences gains of $10,000 in profit, $2,000 (20% of $10,000) is our performance fee giving your account net profit of $8,000 and a total balance of $108,000. If next month your account looses $3,000 then no performance fee will be taken giving you a total balance of $105,000. The third month your account makes $8,000 in profit now giving you a balance of $113,000. Your fee this month with be [$113,000 - $108,000 (high watermark) = $5,000] $1,000 (20% of $5,000). Your account balance will now be $112,000 and a new high watermark has been set.
